Mrs. Annie Mae Cain, age 85, of Dothan, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Born January 12, 1936 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Jim Monroe Dean and Lillie Mae Moss Dean, Annie enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. She also loved animals, especially her fur babies and spending time with her family.
Annie is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, A. W. Cain, Jr.; her son, Greg Cain; her brothers, Bobby Dean, Tommy Dean, and Buddy Dean.
Annie is survived by her daughter, Virginia Chavez; her grandchildren, Nick Cain, Annelle Hughes, Amanda Lynn, Amber Rankin, Greg Nathan Cain, Cameron Chavez, and Jonathan Chavez; her 20 great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Butterworth; her brother, Billy Kennedy; her fur baby, Angel and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Reverends Billy Womack and Hosea Parker officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Smyrna Baptist Church, 1800 Huskey Road, Dothan, AL 36303; Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Drive, Dothan, AL 36303; or Wiregrass Area Food Bank, 382 Twitchell Road, Dothan, AL 36303.
