Mrs. Betty Jo Bausch, of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She was 81.

 

Born December 28, 1934 in Wilcox County, Georgia to the late Jerome and Carrie Mae Smith Wallace, Betty Jo attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and making sure everyone had plenty to eat. She loved to travel, make flower arrangements, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Cipullo and Tommie Goree; and her brothers, J. D. Wallace and Wendell Wallace.

 

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Paul Bausch; her daughters, Cydney (Tony) Kelly and Katrina (Gene) Turner; her step-daughter, Kathy (Rick) Canby; her sisters, Delores Brooks and Gloria Rudd-Mitchell; her brother-in-law, Brett (Barbara) Bausch; her grandchildren, Sasha Canby, Nick Kelly, Jordan “JT” Kelly, Cassie Turner, and Savannah Turner; her great-grandchildren, Sophie Jean Kelly and Lawrence Kelly; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, August 21, 2016 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service.

 

The family will be accepting flowers.
