OZARK…Mrs. Billie Jean Hays Richardson, a resident of Ozark, died Friday, December 30, 2022, in the Dale Medical Center. She was 78.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in the Ozark First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brian Presley and Pastor Matt Sasser officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary.
Mrs. Richardson was born July 6, 1944, in Houston, Texas to the late Billy Hays and Lilly Hicks Simmons. She formerly lived in Arkansas and Texas before moving to Ozark in 2009. Mrs. Richardson was retired from EGC Machine Shop in Houston following thirty years of employment. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting; however, her greatest passion was reading books. Mrs. Richardson was baptized at the Ozark First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Elmer Louis Richardson; three siblings, Louise Dabney, Cleo Martin, and Hugh Simmons, Jr.
Surviving relatives include her children, Charles Lee Lytle, Houston, Texas, Hugh Don Lytle, Talihina, Oklahoma, Lillian Lenore “Libbey” Hammond, Willis, Texas, and Thomas Frank Lytle, Ozark; two sisters, Clara Wilson, Victoria, Texas and Peggy Weeks (Rusty), Willis, Texas; grandchildren, Hugh D. Lytle, Jr., Marcus Lytle, Charlie E. Lytle, Steve Hammond, James Hammond, Kaitlyn Lytle, and Meridyth Lytle; great-grandchildren, Brailiegh Dempsey, Dillion Cringle, Caydon Cringle, Aalina Cringle, Auden Lytle, and Elianna Lytle,
