Mrs. Bonnie Lee Monk Cochran of Dothan, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012. She was 90.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, November 12, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bryan Presley officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Headland with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday, November 11, 2012. Flowers will be accepted.
Bonnie was born and raised mostly in the Headland area. She has lived in the Cottonwood area before moving to Midland City. She was a devoted housewife and mother and loved to work in her flower garden, fishing, and attending church and playing her guitar and singing. She had also worked outside the home for a while at Buds Cigar Plant in Dothan. She loved seeing her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tullis Floyd Cochran, brother, James Monk, parents, and three great-grandchildren, Tylar and Aaron Cochran and Ethan Davis.
Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy McCord of Midland City; Imogene Smith and her husband, Larry of Midland City; sons, Johnny Cochran and his wife, Betty of Dothan; James Cochran and his wife, Inez of Newville; Bobby Cochran and his wife, Pat of Dothan; Larry Cochran and his wife, Linda of Headland; David Cochran and his wife, Christine of Slocomb; eighteen grandchildren, thirty five great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.
