PLEASANT GROVE COMMUNITY… Mrs. Brenda Peters Hoage, a resident of the Pleasant Grove Community, near Ozark, died early Saturday morning, September 11, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. She was 56.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 18, 2021, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the church. All COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions will be followed including wearing a mask.
Mrs. Hoage, daughter of the late Wyatt Peters and Dorothy Grace Gunter Peters, was a native of Ozark. She was a graduate of Wallace College School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Hoage was formerly employed with Dale Medical Center, Oak View Manor Nursing Home as Director of Nursing, Community Care Hospice and AlaCare Hospice. She and her husband currently owned and operated Ozark Plumbing and Electric in Ozark. Mrs. Hoage was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Pat Peters; sister, Barbara Hinson; nephew, Jesse Peters, Jr.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Steven Hoage, Sr.; children, Steven L. Hoage, II (April), Brenda G. Glenn (Zen), and Katie Hoage; grandchildren, Silas Glenn, Willow Glenn, and Luna Hoage; sister, Kathy Johnson; brothers, Glenn Peters, Jr. (Mary), Harold Peters and Edwin Peters (Bridget); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Dale Medical Center for the kindness and compassion shown to Brenda and her family.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Bo Johnson, Matt Peters, John Daniel Peters, Chris Cunningham, Larry Lewis, and Arthur Lewis.
