Mrs. Camilla Seay Conner of County Road 21, Geneva, Alabama went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, December 8, 2014. She was 76.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Daryl Messer, Rev. Roger Pyle and Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Enterprise with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 12, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church, 1009 W. Maple Ave., Geneva, AL 36340.
Mrs. Conner was born May 31, 1938, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Shelby Mode and Mary Eunice Wright Seay. She retired from Phillips Van Heusen with over 40 years of service. Mrs. Conner was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them. She was a member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, John Conner, as well as three brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Gary Alan (Karen) McCoy of Geneva; two grandchildren: Christopher McCoy (fiancé Heather Myers) of Geneva and Felicia McCoy (Roger) Pyle of Bonifay; two great-grandchildren: Jason and Caleb Pyle; one brother, Shelby Jr. (Linda) Seay; one sister, Sybil Vanlandingham, both of Geneva; special friend, Louise Campbell of Geneva; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
