Mrs. Carol Hall, a resident of Cottonwood, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 58.


Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Goss officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.


Born in Houston County, Alabama, Carol was a daughter of the late Gerald and Rebecca Parrish. She worked as a seamstress for Wex-Tex Corporation until her retirement. Carol loved playing bingo; cooking and she loved her animals as her grandchildren. To those who knew her, they would say that Carol was the strongest willed person whom they ever came in contact with. She was the glue that held her family together. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood, Al.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Junior Franklin, mother-in-law, Maudie Hall and a nephew, Tony Nolin.


Surviving are her husband, Neal Hall, Cottonwood, AL; a son, Justin Hall, Cottonwood, AL; a  daughter, Gwen Sikes, Cottonwood, Al & son-in-law, David Sikes, GA; two brothers, Coley Parrish & Coy Parrish both of Malvern; a  sister, Teresa Parrish Naramore of Malvern, Al; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
