Mrs. Carolyn Battles Hall, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024. She was 92 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hall will be graveside 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 31, 2024 in Memphis Baptist Church Cemetery in Dothan with Reverend Billy Rich officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mrs. Hall was born March 21, 1932 in Houston County, Alabama (Hodgesville) to the late Meredith Bud Battles and Paralee McCord Battles. Carolyn worked as a beautician in her business, Carolyn’s Beauty Shop. She was a life-long member of Memphis Baptist Church in Dothan and was instrumental in forming the Widow Women’s Ministry. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hall; her daughter and son-in-law, Merita and Danny Barefoot; her granddaughter, Marcie Barefoot Jenkins; and her son-in-law, Howard Holland.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Holland of Headland; grandchildren, Heather Wilcox (Mark), Holli Grace (Clay), Dan Barefoot (Ashley) and Haston Jenkins; six great grandchildren; three great -great grandchildren; one sister, Rudine Howell of Dothan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Memphis Baptist Church, 4595 Eddins Road, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
