Obituary:  Mrs. Cathy Joyce Perry

 

Mrs. Cathy Joyce Perry of Slocomb passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Southeast Health in Dothan.  She was 66.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church with Rev. Johnny Strickland and Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

 

Mrs. Perry was born December 13, 1951 in Geneva County to Rufesta Hyman Boutwell and the late Grover Boutwell.  Cathy had a kind heart, an energetic spirit and was an avid Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball fan. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Slocomb Senior Citizens Center where she will be dearly missed.

 

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Grover Boutwell and her husband, Clayton Samuel Perry.

 

She is survived by her mother, Rufesta Hyman Boutwell; sisters: Janice Smith (Billy), and Sharon Meredith (Wayne); several nieces and a nephew; a special friend, Sylvia Peters; and other extended family and friends.
