OZARK…Mrs. Christa Muller Murdock, a resident of Ozark, died early Sunday evening, February 19, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was 81.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Murdock was born September 27, 1941, in Germany and moved to the United States in April 1960. She lived in various locations while her husband served in the United States Army, before moving to Ozark in 1973. Mrs. Murdock formerly taught kindergarten while in Germany. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frieda Muller.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Carl Murdock (Master Sergeant, United States Army, Retired), Ozark; two daughters, Diane Murdock Horan, Ozark and Karen Murdock Williams (Rusty), Dothan; two sons, Tommy Lee Murdock (Denise) and Harold Murdock, all of Skipperville; six grandchildren, Brandon Dansby, Justin Murdock (Hayley), Blake Williams (Tori), Halie Williams, Sean Horan, and Amy Dunn (Nathan); ten great-grandchildren, Lexi, Averie, Harper, Tyler, Riley, Daylon, Lianna, Tristan, Adalynn, and Aaliyah.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Blake Williams, Rusty Williams, Justin Murdock, Robert Royal, Nathan Dunn, and Brandon Dansby.
