OZARK…Mrs. Christine Crutchfield Cook, a resident of Ozark, died early Friday morning, June 7, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. She was 89.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Sunday, June 16, 2024, the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cook, daughter of the late Leslie E. Crutchfield and Irene Patterson Crutchfield, was a native of Bruce, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Dollarway High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and attended Enterprise State Junior College in Enterprise. Mrs. Cook moved to Ozark in 1966 and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ozark. She enjoyed watching sports, gardening, cooking, and being with her grandchildren. One of her favorite things while her husband served in the United States Army, was to travel in the family RV and stay in various state parks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Libbern C. “Chuck” Cook (CW4, United States Army, Retired); two brothers, John Crutchfield and Earl Crutchfield.
Surviving relatives include three sons, Libbern G. Cook (Ruth), Redlands, California, Leslie L. Cook (Linda), Redlands, California, and Joey D. Cook (Myong) Daleville; a sister, Lucille Johnson, Benton, Arkansas; a brother, Elwood Crutchfield, Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Tara Caldwell, Lindsay Hull, Camille Gelston, Adam Cook, Jacob Cook, and Noah Cook; great-grandchildren, Samuel Kalama, Isaac Kalama, Shea Kalama, Charlie Hull, Claire Hull, Hannah Hull, Winston Hull, William Hull, Teva Gelston, June Gelston, and Rowan Gelston; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
