Claudean Turvin Pybus, a resident of Cowarts, died peacefully Saturday, September 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was 91.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pybus will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Brother Vann Cooley officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff Springs Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Southern Care Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Highway #2, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mrs. Pybus was born December 2, 1929 in Pike County, Alabama to the late Claudie William and Olene Galloway Turvin. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her yards and quilting. Mrs. Pybus loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of Berean Baptist and will be missed by her church family.
Mrs. Pybus was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Willis Pybus; brothers, Gene, James, Donnell, Marrell, Tommie, Alvie and Jerome Turvin; sister, Mae Jurkowski.
Survivors include her children, Billy Pybus (Karen), Teresa McNeill (Richard), Shelia Sirmans (Robert), Patti Brackin (Paul); grandchildren, Kimberly Davis, Wesley McNeill, Maranda Dykes, Todd McNeill, Jesse Sirmans, Amber Garren, Alex Sirmans and Garrett Brackin; 15 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Wayne and W C Turvin.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Wesley McNeill, Todd McNeill, Jesse Sirmans, Alex Sirmans, Garrett Brackin and Chris Garren.
The family wishes to thank Southern Care Hospice for their love and support shown to Mrs. Pybus and especially Brandi Reynolds, Shannon Hudson and Donna Martin.
