Mrs. Cora Glover Hatcher
Mrs. Cora Glover Hatcher of Hartford went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Star City, AK at the home of her son, Rev. Eugene Hatcher.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 in Highfalls Assembly of God Church with Rev. Billy Joe Glover and Rev. Charlie Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Hatcher was born July 18, 1922 in Dale County to the late Ed and Lora Mae Judah Glover. She loved her Lord with all her heart and was a devoted member of Highfalls Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Hatcher was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, one brother, Cecil Glover; two sisters: Willie Norton Paul and Ida Mae Hatcher preceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving husband of 74 years, Lehmon Hatcher, Hartford; one daughter, Mary Helen Gilstrap, Otto , NC; three sons: Henry Hatcher, Hartford, Rev. Eugene Hatcher (Joyce), Star City, AK and Edward Hatcher (Lorrie), Black; one sister, Laurette Whigham, Enterprise; three brothers: Eddie Foy Glover, Newton, Rev. Billy Joe Glover (Nancy), Birmingham and Rev. Charlie Earl Glover (Sherry), Sylacauga; eleven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
