OZARK…Mrs. Deborah Butler Burt, a resident of Ozark, died early Friday evening, January 5, 2024, in East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. She was 52.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Matthew Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter, Ashley, 120 Deer Creek Way, Ozark.


            Deborah was born July 11, 1971, in Columbus, Georgia and moved to Ozark in 1985. She was a 1989 graduate of Carroll High School. Deborah retired from Vivian B. Adams School as a Teacher’s aide and a bus driver. Vivian B. Adams School held a special place in her heart, and she loved each and every person at the school. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Larry Butler and Martha Ann Napier Butler.


            Surviving relatives include her husband, Jeff Burt; her daughter, Ashley Welch (Jon); three sons, Dylan Danner (Halie), Nash Burt, all of Ozark, and Trent Burt (Samantha), Ashford; two brothers, Edward Butler and Dewayne Butler; three grandchildren, Preslee, Paxton, and Kyleigh; best friends, Joyce Davidson, Donna Thompson, and Tina Beasley.
