Deb dedicated and served over 20 plus years working with the Alabama State Troopers before retirement. Deb will be remembered for her kindness and giving nature. People would often say, it did not matter what she had been through, Deb would light up a room just by walking in and telling a joke. She enjoyed swim aerobics, spending time with the Ladies Group from Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Dothan, being on the Peanut Festival Committee, including the New Year’s Ball Drop,  spending time with family and her fur baby.

In addition to her parents, Deb is preceded in death by her husband, Alison Hutcheson; brothers, Randolph Salter, Dewey Salter Jr., Billy Dale Salter, and Lomax Eugene Salter; and sister, Linda Bowden.

Survivors included her sisters, Cindy Salter, Rebecca Ann Erickson (Kenneth), and Betty Sue Bowman; brother, Jimmy O'Neal Salter; sister-in-law, Deloris Salter; special friend, Bonnie Reardon; stepson, Greg Hutcheson (Carron); stepdaughter, Madonna Bradley (Matt); and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Friday, July 22, 2022, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Dothan, with Dr. Craig Bailey officiating.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3554 County Road #636 Elba, Coffee County, Alabama, 36323.
