Delores Bates-Jones (Yemi), made her transition, Monday, December 31, 2012 at her residence in Cottonwood, Alabama surrounded by her loving family.


A Wellness Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.


Yemi was born February 19, 1938 in Neptune, New Jersey, daughter of the late Horace and Arlene Olds Bates Eskridge.  She attained her Masters Degree in Holistic Studies and Wellness and practiced as a Holistic Practitioner most of her lifetime and is of the Christian Faith. Yemi was also an artist and publisher having authored Fire Without Flame and produced a DVD entitled The Green Purification Process.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Eskridge.


Surviving are her husband, Henry Jones, Cottonwood, Alabama; two sisters, Freddie M. Porter, Waldorf, Maryland and Darlene Carter, Asbury Park, New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Butler, Detroit, Michigan; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
