Obituary:  Mrs. Diane Kelley Weed

 

Mrs. Diane Kelley Weed of Slocomb passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 19, 2013. She was 53. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Kris Eckert officiating.  Burial will follow in Hurricane United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.   

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. and will continue until service time.  

Diane was born on December 17, 1959 in Slocomb to the late Julius “Clayton” Kelley and Martha W. Riley.  She was devoted wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother who will be greatly missed. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Lee Weed and one brother, Randy Eugene Kelley preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Dillard (Brandon) of Hartford; one son, Zackary William Weed of Slocomb; one granddaughter, Cora Lee Dillard of Hartford; two brothers: Tony Mike Kelley (Carla) of Dothan and James Clayton Kelley (Teresa Ann) of Slocomb; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
