Mrs. Doris Jean Powell Lynn, daughter of the late Joe Felder, father and Lottie B. Powell, mother was born May 6, 1936 in Montgomery, Alabama. Mrs. Lynn was an only child. She departed this life Sunday, May 27, 2018.
Doris Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and great, great-grandmother. She was a devoted homemaker who travelled to several states with her husband and family while he served in the US Navy. She attended Cherry Street Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and flower arranging.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, Mrs. Lynn is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Daniel Lynn, Jr.
Mrs. Lynn leaves to cherish her memories her five children, Karl Mario Lynn (Donna), Gregory Craig Lynn (Brenda), Selwyn Eugene Lynn (Barbara), Chandra Manon Blackwell (Keith) and Selene Danette Lynn; her grandchildren, Victoria (Anthony) Jones, Daniel Lynn, Amanda (Adrian) Peacock, Micheal (Amanda) Lynn, Sarah (Justin) Bolin, Robert (April) Lynn, Gregory (Cortney) Lynn, Destiny Lynn, Chad (Kimberly) Lynn, Lauren (DeVonce) Grant, Allison Lynn, Danette Gosha, Cabry Brown, Eric (Latoya) Lynn, Caryn (Richard) See, Selwyn D Lynn; her great-grandchildren, Isaiah Lynn, Sierra (Luis) Garces, Elijah Lynn, Daniel K Lynn, Bonnie Lynn, William Lynn, Tony Bennett, David Bennett, Michaela Bennett, Ethan Peacock, Nikki (Matthew) Harris, Jacqui (Richard) Oldham, Micheal Lynn, Jr., Hannah Bolin, Justin Bolin, Alyssa Bolin, TJ Hightower, Charlie Lynn, Eliot Beason, Marlee Lynn, Abigail Lynn, Cheyenne Lynn, Khloe Lynn, Chad Lynn, Ashlei Gosha, Olivia Thompson, Charlette Thompson, Araya Thompson, Zoe Lynn, Mercedes See, Bryant See; her great-great-granddaughter, Natalie Lynn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 2, 2018 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until 11 AM, prior to the service.
