Mrs. Doris Mae Hall Sellers, age 84, a resident of Cottonwood, went home to be with her Lord early Thursday July 7, 2016 at her residence after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday July 9, 2016 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cottonwood City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services at Glover Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 267 Metcalf Street, Cottonwood, AL. 36320 or to Alacare Hospice, 3379 W. Main St., Dothan, AL. 36305.
Mrs. Sellers was born in Calhoun County, Alabama the daughter of Olen Chester Hall and Leola Whitehead Hall. She was retired assistant cashier from Banksouth in Cottonwood following 27 years of service. Mrs. Sellers was a 1950 graduate of Cottonwood High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Grady Hall; and a sister, Blonnie Wieczorek.
Survivors include: husband of 66 years, Carl Edward Sellers, Cottonwood; 3 sons, Mitchell Sellers (Debbie), Cottonwood; Jeffery Sellers (Mary), Dunwoody, GA.; Doyle Sellers (Angie), Cottonwood; sister, Christine Hard, Cottonwood; 7 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Jacob Sellers, Martin Kingry, Josh Peters, Heath Sellers, Bryan Ashley and Daniel Bell.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Former employees of Banksouth of Cottonwood.
Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
