Mrs. Dorothy Brannon Parrish, age 82, of Ozark, passed away Saturday morning, October 27, 2018, in Auburn, Alabama following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P. M. Monday, October 29, 2018, from the First United Methodist Church in Ozark with Reverend Mike Sigler and Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the Church from 12:30 P.M. until service time.
Mrs. Parrish was born December 10, 1935 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Willie Eldridge Brannon and Cora Elizabeth Williams Brannon. Mrs. Parrish was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark. She worked with Civil Service for thirty-eight years until her retirement in 1994 with the Office of Personnel Management. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Joe Parrish.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and David Hennessey;
her granddaughters, Caroline Grace and Claire Elizabeth Hennessey all of Auburn.
The family would like to thank the staff at Answered Prayer, especially Brenda Edwards and Denise Spivey for their love and support shown to us during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, 167 East Broad Street , Ozark, Alabama 36360; or to Vivian B. Adams School, 2047 Stuart Tarter Road, Ozark, AL 36360.
