Mrs. Edmonia Goodson Ard, a resident of Ozark, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. She was 91 years old.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ard will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 16, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tew officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home in Ozark from 9:30 A.M. until service time.

Mrs. Ard was born September 29, 1930 in Ozark, Alabama to the late George Malcolm Goodson and Eula Mae Phillips Goodson. She worked with Cowikee Mills, Dominey-Mitchell Chevrolet and the Dale County Probate Office. Mrs. Ard loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Tending to her yard and beautiful flowers and plants was a true passion of hers. To be behind a lawnmower and/or a weed eater would make her day happy. Edmonia also enjoyed her weekly shopping trips with a very special and dear friend, Jean Parker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Ard; granddaughter, Heidi Leigh Thomason; brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Betty Goodson.

Survivors include daughter, Sharon Ard Michalic and son-in-law Bruce Lee Michalic; nephew, Steve Goodson (Debi); step-grandson, Brodie Williams (Stephanie); and step-great granddaughter, Lily English.
