Mrs. Edna Jeanette Millerof 182 J. W. Windham Rd, Samson Alabama passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was 76.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Samson First Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Elbert Smith officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at her home Monday, August 13, from 5:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday.
Mrs. Miller was born May 7, 1936, in Geneva Co. to the late Grover A. and Jewell Mae Whitehead Jordan. She was a very hard worker, who made sure that her family was well provided for. Mrs. Miller was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother. After 35 years of service she retired from Opp Micolas Mills. She was a member of Weeks Memorial Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her parents her husband, William Henry Miller, one grandson Chad Miller, four sisters and three brothers all preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters: Helen Hall, Geneva and Bobbie Dixon (Danny), Piedmont, OK; three sons: Roger Miller and Louie Miller (Marcie), all of Samson, Robert Marlow, Pensacola, FL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren on the way; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
