OZARK... Mrs. Elizabeth Deal Peters, a resident of Ozark, died early Tuesday morning, November 19, 2024, at her home. She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tew officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Mrs. Peters, daughter of the late James Hill, Sr. and Marie Tipton Hill, was a native of Rockford, Tennessee and has lived in Ozark since 1957. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her first husband, Ludell Deal of Ozark; brother James Hill of Rockford Tennessee and stepson Stanley Peters of Troy.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Horace Peters, Ozark; son, Larry Deal (Cathy), Fairhope, Alabama; granddaughter, Marissa Wheelock (Clint), Spanish Fort, Alabama; grandson Michael Deal (Jen), Gilbert, Arizona; stepson Gary Peters, Ozark; stepdaughter, Marilyn Ivey (Joe) Enterprise; seven step­ grandchildren; four step-great-great grandchildren.
