Elizabeth “Lib” Duffee Lumpkin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 22, 2022.
Lib was born November 27, 1928 in Prattville, AL to the late Clarence Lee Duffee and Marie Glenn Duffee, where she attended school.
Lib was married to Thomas Hurshel Lumpkin in Fairfax, Alabama, on December 25, 1948. They remained married until his death on January 13, 2010. The couple moved to Montgomery, Alabama in 1952.
She worked for Mosley Electric Company and Bargineer Interiors in downtown Montgomery, Al. She attended and was an active member of Cornerstone Bible Church in Montgomery and loved working in the church and with all the children, mentoring those in need. After moving to Dothan, Alabama in 1996, she attended Pathway Baptist Church.
A private family graveside will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Ross officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 12 to 1 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributioins may be made to Pathway Baptist Church, 3551 Flowers Chapel Rd., Dothan, Al 36305.
Lib is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister, Helen Hyde, and brother, Clarence “Barney” Duffee, as well as her “Angel”, her granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Fike.
She is survived by her daughter Rosemarie “Rita” Fike and son-in-law Lynn Marion Fike, as well as many special nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren, and very special friends.
