CLIO…. Mrs. Elizabeth Green Thomas, a resident of Clio, died early Tuesday morning, March 19, 2019 in an Ozark nursing home. She was 76.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 22, 2019 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, near Louisville, with Reverend Randy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the church.
Mrs. Thomas, daughter of the late Marvin Green and Gustavia Phillips Green, was a native of Barbour County near Clio. In earlier years, she owned and operated an upholstery shop in Louisville. Mrs. Thomas was formerly employed with White Knight Manufacturing in Ozark and also A-1 Manufacturing. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church near Clio. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by five sisters, Dimple Powell, Blanchie Sutton, Rachel Cartner, Sylvia Green, and Jeanette Green; four brothers, Lavon Green, James Aaron Green, Gerald Mack Green, and Marvin Monroe Green.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Darlene E. Harbuck, Clayton; a son, Tony Green (Eleanor), Ariton; a brother, Charlie Green (Betty Ann), Clio; four grandchildren, Shane Green, Jericho Green, AnA’Lisa Parrish (Kyle), and Kayla Tate.
