Mrs. Elizabeth Pipkins Cotten, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at her home at the age of 83.


Funeral services will be graveside 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 26, 2022,  in Mount Olive Cemetery with Dr. Franklin M. Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.


Mrs. Cotten was born February 2, 1939 in Ariton, Alabama to the late George Pipkins and Lera Elizabeth Baker Pipkins. She graduated from Ariton High School and attended Wallace Community College Secretarial School.  Mrs. Cotten worked with the V. J. Elmore Store in Ozark. She met and married Charles Wilburn Cotten in 1961.  Elizabeth enjoyed her grandchildren and sewing.  She was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mavis Rike; and one brother, Irvin Pipkins.


She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Cotten of Ozark;  three sons, David Cotten and Stanley Cotten of Daleville, Jeff Cotton (Page) of Tallassee; and one sister, Joyce Thompson of Brundidge. Four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mount Olive Cemetery Fund, C/O Mr. Gerald Goodson, 1681 Hwy 51, Ariton, Alabama  36311.
