SKIPPERVILLE…Mrs. Ellen Brazelle Pierce, a resident of Skipperville, died early Saturday morning, September 28, 2024, at her home. She was 85.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 30, 2024, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 167 E. Broad Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
Mrs. Pierce, daughter of the late Elliott H. “Tommy” and Eugenia “Genie” Brazelle, was a native of Johnson City, Tennessee. She moved to Ozark at an early age and was a 1957 Graduate of Carroll High School. Mrs. Pierce retired as the Transportation Supervisor with Ozark City Schools after several years of employment. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark and the Kells Carroll Sunday School Class. Mrs. Pierce enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking and baking, being a seamstress, painting, quilting, and was an avid book reader. She ministered through daily bible verse texts to family and friends. Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, Albert T. Pierce.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Tami P. Bryant (Keith), Abbeville; six sons, Raymond F. “Ray” Pierce (Teresa), Trussville, Richard E. Pierce, Skipperville, Michael R. “Ryan” Pierce (Angee), Dothan, Albert T. “Bert” Pierce, II (Tina), Trussville, George R. “Bob” Pierce (Amy), Skipperville, and James B. “Bart” Pierce (Laura), Trussville; grandchildren, Jessica P. Meservy (Ian), Lacey Portugal (Abraham), Kyle Pierce (Kristien), David Bryant (Amber), Elizabeth Pierce, Sophie Pierce, Hannah Outlaw, Caitlin Stipes (Dane), Olivia Pierce, Tyler Pierce (Mariah), Ricky Pierce, David Pierce (Stacey), Kaylie York (Ryan), Kristen McCormick (Rodney), Micah Pierce (Mallory), Jaxin Pierce, Zachary Pierce, Ethan Pierce, and Nicholas Pierce; seventeen great-grandchildren.
