Date of Service: Funeral Services for Mrs. Daniels will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11 am in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chris Woodall and Reverend Jody Hadden officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow in Pinckard Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Emily Lou Daniels, a resident of Pinckard for 79 years, passed away at her home on Wednesday morning, August 4, 2021 surrounded by her family.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Daniels will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11 am in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chris Woodall and Reverend Jody Hadden officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow in Pinckard Memorial Cemetery.


Emily Lou Daniels was born August 3, 1942 in Pinckard, Alabama to the late William Jean and Annie Jewel Byrd. Emily graduated from Midland City High School in 1960 and went to further her education at a local college. She then began working at Hayes in Napier Field where she met the love of her life Fred Daniels. Emily was a devoted wife to her husband Fred for 57 years. Emily and her husband raised their three kids and were local farmers. She was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Emily loved her children and was devoted to helping and being there for them. She was blessed with many grandchildren which she watched after, spoiled, and loved tremendously.


Emily was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and sister-in-law. Anyone she met she greeted with a smile and shared her sweet spirit and generous heart. She was always cooking sweets and desserts for many family members, neighbors, and friends. Emily was known by many for her amazing pound cakes along with blueberry and pecan pies.


In addition to her parents William Jean and Annie Jewel Byrd, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Daniels and her sister, Anne Everett.


Survivors include her son, Garret (Diane) Daniels of Pinckard, AL; her daughters, Denise Williams of Pinckard, AL and Carol (Vince) Adams of Jasper, AL; her grandson, Jake (Christina) Daniels; her granddaughters, Cassady Williams, Katie and Sara Adams, and Madison and Madalyn Daniels; her great-granddaughter, Emma Parker; her brother-in-law, Kenneth (Linda) Everett; her nephews, Mike (Laura) Everett and Bryant (Callie) Everett. She is also survived by more distant relatives and family members.
