Mrs. Emily Rebecca “Becky” Jordan Snell of County Road 6, Geneva, Alabama went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, March 20, 2014.  She was 93.


 


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 in the Westside United Methodist Church in Geneva with Rev. Larry Newton and Rev. Sam Williams officiating.  Mrs. Snell will be placed into the church one hour prior to service time.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Geneva on Saturday, March 22, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.


 


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to the Westside United Methodist Church Building Fund.


 


Mrs. Becky was born March 7, 1921, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Lender Davis and Minnie Lee Dykes Jordan.  She was a very multi-talented lady.  She enjoyed ceramics and for many years she owned and operated a ceramic business at her home.  She also enjoyed painting.  During her working years she worked in various banks and other established businesses as a bookkeeper.  She was a very loving and dedicated wife to her husband James.  Westside United Methodist Church was blessed to have her as a member for several years.


 


In addition to her parents four brothers, Raymond, Ramsey, William Clayton and Calvin E. Jordan preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include her husband of 71 years, James E. Snell; one sister, Lois J. Moore, both of Geneva; several nieces and nephews; other extended family and special friends.
