Obituary:   Mrs. Erma Lois Stroud

 

Mrs. Erma Lois Smith Stroud of Enterprise passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was 95.

 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.

 

Mrs. Stroud was born September 1, 1921 in Dale County to the late Earnest and Eura Summlin Smith. She was a devoted woman of faith and member of Lee Street Baptist Church. She was loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

 

In addition to her parents, her husband, William Stroud; and two brothers: Willie Frank Smith and Foy Smith preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Willene Hughes (John Bell); grandchildren: Tim Hughes (Melody), Tom Hughes and Cindy Hughes Willings (David); great grandchildren: Candice Cotton (David), Shawn Hughes (Jenny) and Chelsea Osborne;  great-great grandchildren: Alex Cotton, Ethan Cotton, Elijah Hughes, Mindell Crews, Marcus Crews and Brinlee Hughes; close family friend, William Osborne, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
