Mrs. Estelle Blackmon Watson, age 86, of Slocomb passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015.


 


Born August 18, 1928 in Newton, Alabama to the late Johnnie and Della Windham Blackmon, Mrs. Watson enjoyed going to auctions and spending time with her family and her dog, Bocca.


 


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Blackmon and Rufus Blackmon.


 


Survivors include her husband, J. D. Watson; her sister, Voncille Mosley; her brother, Lunie (Louverne) Blackmon; special nephew, Dave King; other nieces, nephews, and friends.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the funeral home.


 


Active pallbearers will be Charles Hovey, Larry Morgan, Michael Morgan, Steve Blackmon, Wayne Hall, and Buddy Champion.


 


The family will be accepting flowers.
