Obituary: Mrs. Eura R. Price
Mrs. Eura R. Price of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Westside Terrace. She was 88.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, at New Teamon Baptist Church in Slocomb with Rev. Lee Chorn, Rev. Dan Raley and Rev. Dicky McAllister officiating. Burial will follow in New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Teamon Baptist Church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund, 3813 South County Road 85, Slocomb, Alabama 36375.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time. At other times the family will be at the home of Terry and Phyllis Price.
Mrs. Price was born on April 28, 1924 in Geneva County, AL to the late Oscar and Minnie Adams Rogers. Mrs. Price was a long-time member of New Teamon Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the Prayer Group for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Price; a son, Roger Price; her parents; her stepmother, Jessie Price Rogers; a sister, Thelma Bass; and two brothers, Clyde and Hosea Rogers.
Survivors include five sons: Larry Price (Barbara), Terry Price (Phyllis), Randall Price (Kathy) all of Slocomb, Ron Price (Cindy) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Tim Price (Serena) of Atlanta, GA; a daughter-in-law: Martha Price of Slocomb; her brother: James Rogers of Slocomb; sixteen grandchildren: Tami Watson (Andy), Derek Price (Amanda), Rodney Price, Marsha Brannon (Ronald), Kelley Harrell (Erwin), Jarrod Price (Amy), Brad Price, Kari Dawkins (Bryan), Marc Price (Heather), Josh Price, Adam Price, Austin Price, Alison Price, Taylor Price, Lauren Price, and Connor Price; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
