Fannie Bryan Copeland, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at her residence. She was 86.
Funeral services for Mrs. Copeland will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 4, 2013 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Pastor Bobby Marks officiating. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery with Southern Heritage directing.
Mrs. Copeland was born April 27, 1927 in Houston County to Darling and Pearlie Pearce Bryan. She and her late husband, Jesse Copeland settled in Dothan in 1961. Mrs. Copeland joined Cloverdale United Methodist Church where she was a longtime member of the Jack Roney Sunday School class and also the Mae Dee Dobbs Circle. She also enjoyed ringing the hand bells with the Golden Ringers.
Mrs. Copeland is survived by a son and daughter in law, David and Ginger Copeland, Wyle, TX; daughter and son in law, Barbara and Jimmy Henderson, Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Kris Copeland, Goodlettsville, TN, Jessica and Scott Locke, Madison, AL, Jed and Tara Henderson, Dothan, AL, Jada Henderson, Atlanta, GA, Landon Pike, Judsonia, AR, Rayne Henderson, Huntsville, AL; great grandchildren, Zach Copeland, Noah, London and Reagan Locke, Gavin and August Kate Henderson; step brothers and step sisters, Hubert and Erahlene Pearce, Pelzer, SC, Herbert Pearce, Springhill, FL, Merle Nelson, Madison, GA and Peggy Long, Holly Brook, SC.
