Mrs. Faye Davis Huey, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday morning, December 3, 2022, at O’Brien Memorial Health Care Center in Masury, Ohio. She was 89 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Huey will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2022, from Skipperville United Methodist Church with Reverend Davis Martin and her son-in-law, Reverend Adam T. Trambley, officiating. Interment will follow in Skipperville Community Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
Mrs. Huey was born October 25, 1933 in the Arguta Community of Dale County to the late Millard Filmore Davis and Willie Mae Dykes Davis. She worked as the Office Supervisor for the University of Tennessee for forty years until her retirement. Mrs. Huey was a long-time active member of Skipperville United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. She served as the Chairman of the Skipperville Community Cemetery for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jones Huey, Jr.; one son, Thomas Jones Huey, III; one grandchild, Heather Marie Huey Crawford; and one brother, Ravenal “Shine” Davis.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Jenifer Huey of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jane Elizabeth and Reverend Adam T. Trambley of Sharon, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Rachel Huey Rojas (Bryce), Lillian Elizabeth Trambley and Julia Claire Trambley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Skipperville Community Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 214, Skipperville, Alabama 36374.
