Mrs. Florence Collins, age 86, of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Born June 29, 1937 in Montgomery, Alabama, Florence was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. Whether it was walking or gardening or camping and fishing, she was in her element in nature. She graduated from Saint Margaret’s Nursing School as a Registered Nurse and spent her career helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Collins.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Susan Rigsby (Darrell) and Cheryl Cunningham; her grandchildren, Johnny Douglas, Richard Douglas, Troix Douglas (Urania), Lisa Cogdill, and Amy Cogdill; her great-grandchildren, Samuel Douglas, Anderson Cogdill, and Cooper Douglas; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 6200 Hwy 431, Headland, AL with Reverend Rob Oates officiating.
