Mrs. Frances “Bill” Adams, 94, a resident of Dothan passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Southeast Health following a brief illness.


Funeral services will be held, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Cloverdale United Methodist Church with Reverend Ernie Gray officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Howards Grove cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to Cloverdale United Methodist Church, 102 Rollins Avenue, Dothan, AL 36301.


Mrs. Frances was born November 2, 1927, in Chipley, Florida to Doc Watkins and Louella Elizabeth Howard Watkins. She was employed as seamstress with Dothan Manufacturing for 45 years. Mrs. Frances was well known for her tea cakes and her 14-layer chocolate cake. She was a faithful member of Cloverdale United Methodist Church since 1955.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Crawford Adams; son, Billy Joe Adams; two sisters, Nesby Jackson and Verna Kirkland.


She is survived by son, Bobby Adams (Nancy) of Cottonwood; a daughter Etta Adams of Dothan; four grandchildren, Scott Adams (Gwynne) of Denham Springs, LA., Tracy Adams (Tammy) of Ashford, Troy Adams of Dothan, and Josh Adams (Lauren) of Daphne, AL.; nine great-grandchildren, Aimee Drummond (Doran) of Denham Springs, LA., Brandee Crawford (Wayne) of Mansfield, TX., Casee Adams of Nashville, TN, Chelsea Murphree (Colby) of Ashford, Courtney Adams of Ashford, Taylor and Dallas Adams both of Wicksburg, Harper and Cauley Adams, both of Daphne, AL.; five great-great-grandchildren, Brady and Driver Drummond, both of Denham Springs, LA., Blakely and Watson Crawford both of Mansfield, TX., and Emma Claire Murphree of Ashford; several nieces and nephews; a special friend and caregiver, Margaret Bradshaw of Dothan.


Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Adams, Tracy Adams, Josh Adams, Charles Adams, Steve McLendon, and Tim Anderson.
