Mrs. Frances M. Sugg, age 101, a resident of Dothan died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Westside Terrace following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Westwood Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Temples and Rev. Bob Gross officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Church prior to Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Westwood Presbyterian Church or one's favorite charity.
Mrs. Sugg was born on May 5, 1912 in Longview, Texas, the daughter of Rudolph and Eva Pearl Wiseman Miller. Frances moved to Dothan from Ft. Eustis, VA in 1968. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Westwood Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Sugg was preceded in death by her husband, Chaplain Walton Garrett Sugg, Jr., her parents; and a sister, Dorothy Koontz.
Survivors include: two daughters, MaryLouise Bailey (John) of Arlington, VA and Carol White (Jerry) of Dothan; a son, Robert Walton Sugg of Evans, GA; eight grandchildren, John Wesley Bailey of St. Petersburg, FL, Garrett Steven Bailey of Manhattan Beach, CA, Robert Michael Sugg of Covington, GA, Kristen Rose Sugg of Mobile, Steven Sugg of Aumsville, Oregon, Stuart White of Marietta, GA, Jennifer White Wells of Dothan and William Calvin White of Birmingham; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Asked to serve as pallbearers are: Robert Michael Sugg, Stuart White, William White, Richard Wells, Garrett Bailey and Wesley Bailey.
