Mrs. Frankie V. Lisenby, of Dothan, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was 69.

 

Born January 7, 1947 in Dothan, AL at Moody Hospital to the late John F. Bauman and Willie Mae Bauman. She retired after 26 years as a bus driver for Dothan City Schools and also worked at Mr. J’s for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Lisenby, and one sister, Susan Cook.

 

She is survived by her six children, John Lisenby, Elizabeth Lewis, Sara Lisenby, Alex Lisenby, Richard Lisenby, Brandy Lisenby; one sister, Carolyn Gayle Padgett; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2017 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 5-7 PM.

 

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org, or American Cancer Society.
