Mrs. Gay Young Thomley, age 82, a resident of Wicksburg passed away, December, 2, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Home Church of Christ Cemetery in Wicksburg with Glover Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends 5p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Thomley was born on December 6, 1934 in Hazard County, Kentucky the daughter of Sherman Lee and Augusta Hall Young. She was a graduate of Berea Business College and worked as a Patient Care Coordinator at Flowers Hospital and was a homemaker most of her life.  She is a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and has been attending Harvest Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Max Thomley and sister Irma Jeanne Foster

Survivors include: son, Harold Wayne Thomley, (Barbara); two daughters, Deborah Elaine Rogers, and Sheila Gay Mackey; a brother, Sherman Young (Cathy); two sisters, Rose Moody (Gene) and Carol Potter (Danny); seven grandchildren, Simon Thomley (Elizabeth), Rachel Thomley, Cheri Hall, Neil Hall, , Stephanie Hall, Dawn Strength (William), Sarah Ward (Ryan); three great-grandchildren, Brandon Tharp, Dylan Calhoun, Bailey Strength.
