Mrs. Georgia Ann Moore Deloney, a resident of Madison, Alabama and formerly of Ozark, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the home of her daughter in Madison.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark, Alabama with Reverend Jay Wolf officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Wong, Daniel Walters, Seth Deloney, David R. Deloney, Josh Sachar and L. David Deloney.

Ann was born July 29, 1936 in Talladega, Alabama to the late Gussie Mae Lundy Moore and George Marvin Moore. She graduated from Talladega High School in 1954. After high school she enrolled in Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University, with the goal of becoming a nurse. However, fate intervened and instead she met and married her husband of the next 50 years, the late Daniel William Deloney. Ann spent the next 20 years raising their five children before enrolling in the nursing program at George Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama and finally fulfilling her dream of becoming a nurse. She practiced nursing for the next 20 years, working at Southeast Alabama Medical Center and later in home health care. Faith and family were priorities for Ann.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Ozark and later, First Baptist Church Montgomery. She was well traveled, well read, and well loved by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by two of her children, Cynthia Ann Deloney and Daniel W. Deloney, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Susan R. Deloney; her brother, Andrew Marvin Moore; and her sister, Margaret Moore Wellbaum. Ann is survived by her daughter, Barbara Deloney Lewis (Tom) and sons, David Deloney (Joy) and George Deloney (Rachel). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Josh Sachar, Devin Holt, Seth Deloney, Rachel Lewis, Laura Lewis, Katy Deloney and Henry Mac Deloney; and two great grandchildren, Levi Sachar and Violet Sachar.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations in her memory to The Caring Center at First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama; or The Backpack Program at Copeland Presbyterian Church in Athens, Alabama.
