Mrs. Glenda Lualice Cornwell Smith, age 80, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday January 23, 2016 at the Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation following an extended illness.


Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. (CST.) Wednesday January 27, 2016 at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Reverend Jack Wingate officiating and Kendall Glover directing.


The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home on Tuesday January 26, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. (CST).  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the local Wounded Warrior Project.


Mrs. Smith was born on May 18, 1935 in Maiden, N.C. the daughter of Walter Woodrow Wilson Cornwell and Mazelle Deaton Cornwell.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star. 


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin W. Smith, Jr.; a sister, Becky Overstreet.


Survivors include: 2 sons, Koby Smith (Chrystal), Donalsonville, Ga.; Monte W. Smith, Birmingham; 5 grandchildren. 


Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
