Obituary: Mrs. Grace Wills Brannon
Mrs. Grace Wills Brannon died peacefully at her home in Hartford, AL on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the age of 99.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Enfinger and Rev. David Lolley officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.

Mrs. Brannon was born December 29, 1914 in Geneva County to the late Earnest E. and Mae Belle Blalock Wills and was the oldest girl of nine children. Grace received a diploma as a Practical Nurse in June 1965 and worked as an LPN at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, retiring in 1979. Always an active and creative woman, she took piano and painting lessons after retirement, led exercise classes, made pine needle baskets, quilts, did expert alterations, and loved to travel. Mrs. Brannon was a woman of deep faith who believed in helping others. She was a member of the Geneva Senior Citizens Center. She led exercise classes and played piano for nursing home residents, and helped care for ailing neighbors. Mrs. Brannon was an active member of Oak Grove Methodist Church where she played piano for church services.
Mrs. Brannon was the beloved matriarch of a large extended family and is survived by four daughters: Peggy Caswell (Charlie), Hartford, Carol Clement, Jackson, TN, Jane Foster (Gary), Birmingham and Joyce Hatcher (Eugene), Hartford; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; siblings: Joe Fred Wills, Hartford, Paul Wills, Bradenton, FL, Earnestine Pridgen, Geneva and Helen Gustavson, Panama City, FL; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
