DOTHAN…Mrs. Hattie Bagwell Pippin, a resident of Dothan (formerly of Ozark), died early Monday morning, May 13, 2024. She was 89.


            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.


            Mrs. Pippin, daughter of the late John Daniel Bagwell and Hallie Lee Peacock Bagwell, was a native of Bagwell’s Crossroads Community, near Ozark and has lived in Dothan since 2017. She was retired from Van Heusen in Ozark after over twenty years of employment as a skip sampler. Following her retirement, she received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Wallace Community College as part of her retirement package. Mrs. Pippin was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Cain and her husband, Vernon and a brother, Neal Bagwell.


            Surviving relatives include her husband of thirty-two years, Kenneth Pippin, Dothan; daughter, Susan Miller, Dothan; sister, Virginia Stork, Huntsville; granddaughter, Amy Miller (Joseph); two great-grandchildren, Arianna Baldwin (Trevor) and Cheridea Harris; a great great grandson, Silas Baldwin; nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
