Hazel Pearl Paramore, a resident of Ashford, died Friday, February 3, 2017 at her daughter’s home under hospice care. She was 92.


Funeral services for Mrs. Paramore will be held at 2 PM Monday, February 6, 2017 at Enterprise Baptist Church with Reverend David Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 Pm at the church prior to the service.


Mrs. Paramore was born August 25, 1924 in Houston County to the late John Thomas and Lou Vella Pynes Rodgers. She was a lifelong member of the Ashford community and loved the outdoors. Mrs. Paramore enjoyed anything outside and especially gardening. She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.


Mrs. Paramore is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Paramore; daughter, Brenda Watson and a sister, Lilly Mae Gaylord.


Survivors include a daughter, Patsy McGowan; grandchildren, Jennifer Ferguson, Amber Whillock, Megan Cornelius; great grandchildren, Kaytlyn, Alexis, Graham and Everett.
