Mrs. Helen Reid Hardaker Parsons, a resident of Ozark, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was 95 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parsons will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 8, 2023, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Jason Waddell officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. CST Saturday, December 9, 2023, in Buckhorn Cemetery (Brian Setterich Road) Wewahitchka, Florida with Reverend Dr. Jeremy Pridgeon officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday, December 8, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
Mrs. Parsons was born February 27, 1928 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Edwin Hardaker and Mildred Reid Hardaker. Helen was beautiful, loving, gentle and kind. She was married to William A. Parsons until his death in 2006. She has lived in Ozark since then. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, friend and faithful follower of Christ. She believed in the power of love and prayer and practiced both with equal devotion. Her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her.
Survivors include six sons, Dr. William A. Parsons Jr. (and wife Leigh) of Franklin, TN, Mark E. Parsons (and wife Alta Jean) of St. Augustine Beach, FL, Gary G. Parsons, and Gregory A. Parsons (and wife Susan) of Tallahassee, FL, Robert P. Parsons (and wife Melissa) of Ozark, and Richard G. Parsons (and wife Ginger) of Tallahassee; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the beautiful and kind workers of Wiregrass Home Care and Community Hospice (Donna Reeners and Angelia Lassiter) who assisted Helen in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 368 James Street, Ozark, AL 36360; or your local church.
