Inez Furr, a resident of Carrollton, Georgia and formerly, Dothan died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Carrollton Nursing and Rehab. She was 96.

Funeral services for Mrs. Furr will be held at 1 PM Friday, July 13, 2012 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverends Morris Bates and Stephen Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Furr was born in Columbus, Georgia July 30, 1915 to Thomas C. and Amanda Dukes Middleton. She moved to Dothan at an early age and later retired from the Salvation Army Retail Store as a clerk. Mrs. Furr enjoyed sewing, quilting and playing games. She was kind and loving and always saw the good in people.

Mrs. Furr is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Furr and a sister, Idell Coughlin.

Survivors include her niece; numerous great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
