OZARK… Mrs. Irene Eva Mokrzycki, a resident of Ozark, died early Tuesday afternoon, October 11, 2022, at her home. She was 84.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mokrzycki, daughter of the late Bahnarbeiter Karl Friedrich Reuther and Marie Geborene Utz, was a native of Schwetzingen, Germany. She moved to the United States in March 1958 and lived in various locations in the United States and overseas while her husband served in the United States Army. Mrs. Mokrzycki was retired from the Ozark City Board of Education as a lunchroom worker at Mixon Elementary School after twenty-one years of employment. She was a member of the German Ladies Club at Ft. Rucker and was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving relatives include her husband of sixty-five years, Thomas J. Mokrzycki (CW3, United States Army, Retired), Ozark; three daughters, Marian Adkins (Lonnie), Decatur, Tennessee, Susan Dickey, Wedowee, Alabama, and Kathy Hesse (Bob), Roach, Missouri; her sister, Elfrieda Munz (Herman), Germany; seven grandchildren, Christina Colbaugh (Justin), Christopher Adkins, Anika Hesse, Erica Hesse, Tyler Dickey, Ashley Dickey, and Haley Dickey; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Colbaugh, Jackson Colbaugh, and Anna.
