Irene Simmert Grenz Johnson, 93 of Dothan ,Alabama joined the angels on Monday April 18,2022.

She was born August 25, 1928 to Julius and Lazette Simmert in Missoula, MT.

 Irene was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother. 

She was the last and youngest of 7 children.  Irene was married to Philip Grenz in Hamilton, Montana and after his passing, she married Eugene Johnson.

Survivors include her 5 children:  Philip (Judy) Grenz, Mickey Hardin, Mary Lansing, Marsha (Kevin) O’Brien and Candice (Bart) Rydalch.  She was graced with 10 grandchildren: Trish, Kevin, Steve, Mike, Angie, Rene, Shannon, Casey, Cole and Jesse.  She had 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  She also had many nieces and nephews.

We also would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Health for the excellent care our mom was given.

Donations can be made in her name to Wiregrass Humane Society - 255 Jerry Dr. Dothan, Alabama.
