Mrs. Janice M. Wells of Dothan went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Flowers Hospital. She was 76.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, in Taylor Assembly of God Church with Rev. Kenneth Martin, Rev. Charles Littlefield and Rev. Charles Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at Taylor Assembly of God Church on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Wells was born on July 12, 1936 in Houston County, AL to the late Pate and Mavis Mills. She was a member of Taylor Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as one daughter, Donna Wells Baxley.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John Irby Wells of Taylor; a daughter: Kathy (Tommy) Davenport of Taylor; three granddaughters: Karmen Davenport, Lindsey (Britton) Hughes and Jessica (Casey) Miller; one great granddaughter: Raygan Marie Hughes; two sisters: Mary Evelyn Powell, Faye (Fred) Johnson; one brother: Bobby Gene (Gloria) Mills; nieces and nephews: Dianne Newton, Greg Mills, Vicki Mills Winkler, Mike Mills, Rickey Johnson and Ronnie Johnson.
The following member of the Adult III Sunday School Class will be serving as pallbearers: Elijah Branton, Bert Burkett, Terry Hayes, Paul Littlefield, Ron Majors, and Bill Faulk.
