Mrs. Janice Rebecca Stafford Phillips, a resident of the Elamville Community, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at her home. She was 74 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, June 22, 2020, from Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Whitman officiating. Interment will follow in Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday in the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Phillips was born August 17, 1945 in Barbour County to the late Charlie Stafford and Burlene Pugh Stafford. She graduated from Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Florida. Mrs. Phillips was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Elamville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Phillips; and one brother, Herbert Stafford; one grandchild, Ashley Garner; two nephews, Glen Stafford and Sean Stafford.
Survivors include one brother, Bennie Stafford; two daughters, Sheryl Phillips Harrell, Trudi Phillips Mallard (Doug); one son, Phil Hunt Phillips; grandchildren, Chasity English Cordero, Brandi Harrell Hackler, Justin Roy Harrell, Christi Garner Hughes, Lindsey Garner Kirkland, Monique Phillips, Blake Phillips, Toni Phillips Perez, and Caleb Phillips; seventeen great grandchildren; niece and nephews, Nicole Stafford, Nelson Stafford and Jason Stafford.
